Overview[]

The gang prepares for the A&A Music Factory's first showcase and Austin wants to surprise Ally by teaching their students one of her songs, but Trish's new student, manager apprentice, mess everything up.

Episode Summary[]

This episode starts with Austin and Ally standing on stage with a big surprise for the kids. Dez wants to know the surprise but then keeps changing his mind. Austin and Ally announce that the A&A Music Factory is going to have its first showcase. Everyone, of course, is excited.

Next, Austin and Ridley are dancing. Ridley wants Austin to dance with her in the showcase, but Austin refuses, saying Jimmy won't let him. He also tells Ridley not to wear the large red first aid backpack.

When the music factory needs pictures taken, we meet Sadie, a young girl who helps Ridley with having her picture taken. She says, "Ponytails are a picture no-no." Ally says she was supposed to be in a lesson but got distracted. She then explains how much like Trish the young girl is.

Trish agrees with Ally and they are seen hugging and wearing the same outfit. Trish helps Sadie become a great manager by practicing on Dez. Sadie is immediately very talented in this area.

Austin wants to surprise Ally by teaching the students one of her new songs, Play My Song, available on the Take It From the Top digital EP. It's supposed to be a surprise, but unfortunately, Herman is not very good at keeping surprises. He is shown struggling to keep quiet around Ally throughout the episode.

Trish is still showing Sadie how to be a good manager, but Sadie accidentally offends Ridley by saying she has no stage presence. Ridley doesn't ever want to perform again. Austin leaves to go get the student while Sadie tells Trish how she is going to do things the way she wants to do things from now on.

Meanwhile, Austin has returned with Ridley who is hiding in a sleeping bag. He tries to calm her down, but it's no use. Ridley is still terrified.

Trish wants to speak with Sadie, but Dez, her new assistant says Trish needs an appointment to speak with her. Trish gets angry but eventually gives up when the appointments available are just ridiculous.

In the practice room, Austin is still working with the students on Ally's song until she comes inside. Herman is still having a hard time keeping the secret, so Ally gets kicked out of the room before Herman reveals something he shouldn't.

In Sadie's office, Trish tries to talk to Sadie but she is just too talented and using everything that Trish taught her about being a good manager. Sadie is going to try to steal Ridley, so Trish kicks Sadie out of the school.

What Trish doesn't know is that Sadie sabotaged the showcase, but she can't handle the pressure of running it all on her own. She asks for Trish's help, and Trish makes it better by making Ally the celebrity guest and letting everyone perform.

Ally is excited that Austin taught the students her song, but Herman told her 10 minutes before the performance. However, she sings the song happily during the performance.

Jimmy wants to sign Ridley, but Trish says that will only happen if Austin can perform again. Jimmy agrees since he admits he was too hard on Austin for choosing Ally over his career and the entire gang is happy and cheerful.

Ally and Trish want to talk to Austin about his comeback, but Dez doesn't let them. Eventually, he is pushed out of the Music Factory.
