Recently I have been working on putting some episode pages together and I'm seeing that our layout isn't completely solid here. I have a few suggestions on changes we can make to the layouts and if everyone agrees we can put it into action.
Cast
I have a suggestion for the cast section that we move it to the episode infobox. I honestly think that the cast section breaks the flow of the page. As you read through the page, you're reading about the episode itself: the overview, plot, quotes, songs, and then when you get to cast it just seems kind of awkwardly placed. It's a small section and can easily fit in the infobox, it's own section doesn't seem all that necessary. All of the production information including writers, directors, etc. are in the infobox and I think it'd be better if we just put it there as well.
Memorable Quotes
This is a simple change but I suggest that we change the title of this section to just "Quotes." First, whether the quote is memorable or not is an opinion. It'd be better just to have the title as "Quotes" because it generalizes the section. Obviously, not every line from the episode is included but it tells the reader that it simply features regular quotes from the episode that matter. Second, I think it's best we keep the titles short.
Transcript & Gallery
I don't think the transcript section nor gallery section should be included on a page if there is not one for the page. Many episodes don't have transcripts and it wouldn't make sense to link to something that's not there. The gallery part mainly refers to episodes that haven't aired yet. We shouldn't link to it's gallery (or even have a gallery for it) until actual pictures are released.
Upcoming Episodes/Blank Episodes
So basically, all upcoming episodes have mostly a page full of blank sections. I think we should still format them like this because it leaves the important sections there to be filled in as information comes in but I do think we need to decide on what goes in those sections if nothing is there. Most pages say "TBA" and some say "To be added" and some say "The episode has not aired yet." or something. I think we need to choose one and stick with one. I vote "TBA" because that's simple. Do you think everyone will know what that means?
Categories
Lastly, I think we should rename the category "Unaired episodes" to "Upcoming Episodes" because #1 "unaired" is not a word and #2 "upcoming" probably makes more sense then saying it's "unaired."
Please reply with your thoughts, thank you! :)
